Christmas Crafting Rush…

By Amy Simpson

Since my last blog, big things have happened in the Amy’s Knitted Bits world. I have only gone and booked myself a stall at a craft fair! I have also had a sudden influx of Etsy orders for my knitted cats, which is amazing.

I have been working really hard to try and build up my stock for the craft fair and I wanted to blog to show everyone what I’ve been working on.

First up, is the crochet scrunchie – these are SO much fun to make and I love them. The same goes for the Christmas tree decorations. These are crocheted around curtain rings and are just a double crochet the whole way around the ring with buttons and ribbon added. I also have been working on some drawstring bags which are pretty easy but quite effective and of course scrunchies.

I’m aiming for a whole range and focusing on only the Christmas things for now – if I have time left and I have enough Christmas stock, I may try some little flowers in pots.

Here is a sample of what I have so far…

I’m trying to work on managing my time effectively and not wasting time browsing Instagram or Facebook (come on, we’re all guilty of this!!) to try and make sure I have built enough stock as possible.

I am overwhelmed by the amount of love and support I’ve had through my craft fair journey so far, it truly has been amazing.

I even had bought myself a little card machine, which is super cute. I just need to have a practice now with it and learn how to use it.

I’ll do another blog soon with more pictures from my craft fair journey and will of course blog about the day itself.

Happy Knitting 🙂

Amy
